Today I came across a new Australian website which I thought I would share with other Australian hubbers out there.
Burl Classifieds is a new classifieds site purely for Aussies. But one thing I was particularly impressed with was it's versatility in the search engines! Within one day I noticed my listings in Google.
Not only that, I was surprised to see when I listed my ad it also tweeted out the page to Twitter to thousands of other Australians!
Social Media Classifieds
The site also heavily utilizes other social bookmarking sites such as Delicious, Digg and Stumbleupon, so you can reach a much wider audience than a simple listing in most other classified sites.
Facebook is something else Burl Classifieds has implemented. And with it being the number one social networking site on the planet, I can't understand why other sites are so far behind?
The beauty of social media, in my opinion, is that it gives the users of the the site the ability to give feedback about the site and see enhanced features down the track.
Simplicity at it's best!
This was the main feature that dragged me in...
No signup!
I just posted my ad and confirmed it by email and it was up! No waiting, no daily emails from the site, it was ready to go in minutes.
The site has recently announced that they have also blocked add non-English speaking countries from posting which means much, much less spam.

Cheers prasetio30. It's a great site. However since I published this hub, the site owners have blocked all countries outside Australia. Still a great site for Australian hubbers though ;)
